Quốc hội giơ tay,

Mặt trận vỗ tay,

Chính phủ khoanh tay,

Quân đội bó tay,

Y tế xua tay,

Giáo dục vật tay,

Quốc doanh ngửa tay,

Hành pháp trở tay,

Tội phạm ngoặc tay,

Công an còng tay,

Báo chí chùn tay,

Trí thức phẩy tay,

Dân trắng tay…

Ca dao dân gian thời kỳ đồ đểu

Party hands point and direct,

National assembly shows of hands – yeah,

Fatherland Front [1] claps hands,

Government folds their hands,

Army have hands tied,

Health care hands dismissed

Education arms wrestled,

National enterprises ask for hand-outs,

Executive flips hands

Criminals hand-in-hand with party officials,

Polices cuff citizen hands,

News media hide their hands (not using their pens),

Intellectuals drop their hands,

Citizen with empty hands …
